In mid-October, my Cut Focus video crew and I traveled to Saint Dominic’s Church in San Francisco and onto Saint James Church in Petaluma where we attended a parish retreat conducted by Sister Patricia Bruno, O.P., and Father Jude Siciliano, O.P.
Nov. 11: Thirty-Second Sunday “The Lord keeps faith forever, secures justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry.” Psalm 146.
“Jesus said to him, ‘You are not far from the kingdom of God.’” Mark 12:28-34.
“’Take courage, Jesus is calling you.’” Mark 10:46-52.
“The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10: 35 -45.
In early October, our preaching journey took us to a small church on California’s central coast to meet Father Matt Pennington, the pastor of the Nativity of our Lady Catholic Community in San Luis Obispo.
“’Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?’ Jesus answers: ‘You lack one thing. Go, sell what you have, and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then, come, follow me.’” Mark 17-30.
