In early October, our preaching journey took us to a small church on California’s central coast to meet Father Matt Pennington, the pastor of the Nativity of our Lady Catholic Community in San Luis Obispo.

The Pew Research Center recently published a survey about the declining numbers of Americans attending religious services — where there was a noteworthy finding.
